Months Nine and Ten

June 27, 2016

Noah,

You decided it was time to move the last two months, so move you shall! From just rolling and scooting, to army crawling, to full out crawling and pulling up on everything in sight. Fortunately, you’ve switched to a lot more actual food to fuel all that activity. You can’t eat all that many things with all of your allergies, but even so you’re celebrating what you can.

You and your brother show every sign of being inseparable. You make each other laugh and laugh, and you can’t stand not to find your brother if you’re in the same room. In the back of the car together, you both blow raspberries at each other and laugh back and forth. Nobody gets you to laugh like Seth can. You smile a lot, but the laughs are few and far between, except for Seth. Seth enjoys seeing you change and grow every day as much as we do, from clapping back and forth with you to announcing to us that you’re crawling.

Each day also brings new interactions with the world, waving and smiling, eating and sitting in carts and chairs and the high chair for the first time. You army-crawled right over to Molly’s water dish, and then looked shocked when you got water everywhere. There’s lots to learn in the world!

Some of your exploring is following right in your brother’s footsteps, from hanging from your drawers to diving headfirst into the ottoman after your toys. It’s more than rewarding to be your parents and cherish each and every victory you have.

Nothing phases you for too long, even Daddy coming back home and the move to Nebraska. We just have to plan on baby-proofing each and every little bit of the new house!

Now that you’re mobile, nothing is more wonderful than your huge smiles and crawling over to climb in Daddy’s lap. You did that for the first time on Father’s Day, and I couldn’t think of a more wonderful present from a wonderful little boy.

We love you so very much!
